Well, it is Christmas day - barely. It is 12:03am and I am finished putting out the girls gifts and setting up Phil's gifts. I'm tired, but Phil is still wrapping my gifts and I don't want to go to bed without him. We had his family over tonight - why do I always feel awkward around them? It's like I'm afraid to make a joke because they don't understand my sense of humor. Oh well, I do my best.
Tomorrow is Emi's first Christmas. Meg understands what is going on this year - from Santa to Baby Jesus, so it is really fun. I'm SO excited to see her tomorrow and see how she likes her Barbie house and other gifts. Emi won't know what is going on - but I'm happy to be able to be with her and not have to cook, clean, shop or wrap!
New Year's is next week and I'm thinking of resolutions. One resolution is to keep a "diary" (i.e. blog) so I can track the girl's accomplishments a little better. For example, just this past week Emi started crawling. I'm proud of her - she had a hard time working up to it but she kept trying. She even pulled up on Phil once. She's chewing and drooling, so we think a top tooth is going to pop out soon. We'll see - she won't let me get a good look.
That's all for now - more to come soon (I hope!)
